Harry Estel was born on October 2, 1918 in Madison County, Iowa to Ray Estel and Eva Jessup.

On January 11, 1943 Harry joined the United States Army at Camp Dodge, Iowa and was honorably discharged on June 30, 1943 at Camp Roberts, California.

He was united in marriage to Louise Marie Price in Des Moines, Iowa on July 26, 1973.

Harry passed away on May 15, 2009 at the Knoxville V.A. Hospital at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 13 days.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Goldie Hitsman and half brother, Ralph Estel.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Louise Estel of Altoona, two sons: Jimmy and Allen Estel of Des Moines.

Burial: Winterset Cemetery, Winterset, IA
