Lillian Irene Dursky was born February 7, 1923 in Pershing, Iowa, the daughter of Peter “Pete” Six and Mary (Little) Six.

She has resided in Pershing her entire life, graduating with the Attica High School class of 1941. Following graduation Irene was united in marriage to Floyd Leroy “Mike” Dursky in April 12, 1942 in Kahoka, Missouri.

Homemade noodles, beans and scones and pies were some of the wonderful foods that she will be remembered for making. Camping with family was also something she enjoyed. Irene always had a little dog by her side and she loved each and every one of them.

Irene passed away on Friday, May 22, 2009 at West Ridge Nursing & Rehab Center at the age of 86 years, 3 months and 15 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Homer and Owen Six, and sisters, Mary Jane Mortenson and Clara Billings.

She is survived by her sons, Larry (Ruby) and Mike (Kristi) of Knoxville; daughters, Linda (Gary) Hall of Knoxville, Michele (Roy) Bingham of Pershing; 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
