Funeral Services for “Sissy” (Stangl) Vander Veer of Harvey will be held on Friday, September 26, 2008, at Williams Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Neil Montz officiating. Internment will be in Liberty Cemetery near Bussey, Iowa.

“Sissy” passed away Monday, September 22, 2008 at Griffin Nursing Center in Knoxville at the age of 76 years and 10 months, 7 days.

“Sissy” is survived by her three sisters, Jean Bloom of Knoxville, Nellie Bregar of Bussey and Violet Selby of Vandalia, Missouri; one brother, Donald Green of Knoxville; and her ex-husband and good friend, Roy Vander Veer of Harvey.

Friends may call at Williams Funeral Home after 12 Noon on Thursday September 25, 2008. The family will be present from 6-7:00 p.m.

Memorials in memory of “Sissy” may be made to the Knoxville VFW or Knoxville American Legion.
