Henderson, Jane Dunlap – 1817-1908

Mrs. Jane Dunlap Henderson died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. R. Cline, in the Plymouth neighborhood, on Monday, April 6, 1908, aged 91 years, 20 days.
Jane Dunlap was born in Argylshire, Scotland, March 17, 1817; came to America and settled in Washington county, Ohio, in the year 1846. In that county, on March 10, 1858, she was united in marriage with Almond Henderson. They removed to Iowa and settled in Marion county in the year 1885. To this union To the union of Almond Henderson and Jane Dunlap one child, Elizabeth, was born. She is now Mrs. J. R. Cline. Almond Henderson died in 1903.
Mrs. Henderson had been badly crippled with rheumatism for many years, and but for her strong will would have been a helpless invalid. For the past five year she had been under the care of her daughter, at whose home she died.
Besides the daughter, deceased leaves three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was a true mother in Israel, a member of Plymouth Presbyterian church, and a consistent and devout Christian woman.
The funeral services were held at the Plymouth Presbyterian church on Wednesday at 2 o’clock, conducted by Rev. J. H. Burma. Interment in Breckenridge cemetery.
