Sherwood, Carr Purvis – 1882-1949

Carr Purvis Sherwood, son of Jesse S. and Mary Jane Sherwood, was born February 24, 1882 on the farm where he has always lived and died at the home of his daughter on the evening of June 20, 1949 at the age of 67 years, 3 months and 27 days.
In September 1903, the deceased was married to Laura D. Tucker, and to this union one daughter was born.
On June 13, 1909, Mr. Sherwood was united in marriage to Katherine E. Shinn. To this union two sons were born, one of whom died in infancy.
Left to survive him are his widow, Katherine, a daughter, Mrs. Lois Robuck, who lives near Attica, a son, Orval, who lives at home, and a nephew, Worth Kunkel, who lives near Knoxville.
The deceased was converted several years ago and has been a member of the Methodist church since that time.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. from the Methodist church in Attica and interment was at Indiana Chapel cemetery, Rev. I. G. Wilkins officiating.
