Goldie Belle Harvey, daughter of Myrtle and Isaac E. Harvey, was born near Bussey, October 13, 1897 and died at the Collins Memorial hospital in Knoxville, June 6, 1949, at the age of 51 years, 7 months and 24 days.
The deceased was converted at Mount Olive at the early age of fifteen and transferred her membership to the Dallas Methodist church the following year. She was an active member of the W.C.T.U.
On April 2, 1919 the deceased was united in marriage with Don Bucklew at the Methodist parsonage in Melcher. To this union three sons were born: Paul Elmer, who preceded her in death, Bill of Waukee and Glenn at home. She is survived by her husband, two sons, two granddaughters, Nancy and Judy; her mother, Mrs. Myrtle Harvey of Knoxville; three brothers, Oliver Harvey of Tracy; Perry Harvey of Dallas, and S. E. (Bill) of Knoxville.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 8 at 3 o’clock from the Dallas Methodist church – Melcher Union.
