I am a volunteer with the Genealogical Society of Linn Co, IA,Library, P.O.Box 175, Cedar Rapids, IA 52406. I searched our obituary books and also the newspaper on microfilm, but an obituary has not been found for Eber Newton, however, we do have his death record. You had the month and year of his death wrong. We do charge for our service and the cost would be $10.00 for the 1 hour research and $.30 for the 2 page death record. If you are interested, please e-mail me and I will send the document. We will bill you for the $10.30.
