I am researching genealogy of my partner Bev Lawrence - her mother was Margaret Cairy, daughter of Anna Winans and Fred Cairy. Not sure if they were married at the time that Margaret was born. When Anna married Joe Margaret stayed with them, until they divorced and she sent to stay with her grandparents the Winans in Monticello, probably when she was about 6. Margaret was raised pretty much by her grandparents. Margaret died in 1972 at age of 57. Bev has a few of her mother's letters that she received from her mother Anna when she was living with her grandparents. In Fall 1926 she wrote that she had married again, but didn't mention a name. I found her grave marker on www.findagrave.com with last name Rajtora. Found her obit and she committed suice in March 1927. She is buried in Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, IA. Bev also has pictures and a letter from Joe Rigby that he'd sent to her mother Margaret. Sounds like he was a good step-father to her, for the short time that he was with Anna.
