I am still working on sorting out the JACOBS family but there seems to be a curiosity here.
Gary Brundidge seems to believe that Rosina Jacobs born c.1905 married a Edward (Eddie) Brundidge born as a son to what we have listed as Edward John Brundidge and wife Louisa Miner. The problem with this is that the 1910 census shows that Louisa had 5 children with only one living and that was Mariah Lena Brundidge that married a Pratt. Lena committed suicide in the 1920s.
The WWI Draft Cards show that there was in fact a set of twins by Oliver Brundidge and Hattie Stutsman and they were listed as:
John Edwin Brundidge
Serial Number 1096 Order Number A 738
b. 12 May 1873
living at . Garnavillo St., Anamosa, IA
occupation: barber
listed wife Louisa Brundidge as a contact.
but signed the card James Edwin BrundidgeJames Eddie Brundidge
Serial Number 1015 Order Number A 1931
b. 12 May 1873
living at: 1011 4th St. E., Cedar Rapids, IA
occupation: ground man for Bell Telephone
listed his brother Edwin Brundidge as a contact.
signed the card as James Eddie BrundidgeNow, we know Rosina married 1932 in Anamosa to Brundidge (or at least that is what we have down) but can not find anything as to where they settled or where they died?
It appears that Edwin and Louisa settled down where as Eddie (listed on census as Edward Brundidge) was married several times. He is seen in the 1910 census in Waterloo, IA married to a Laura and this was his 2nd marriage.
Any help to resolve this Rosina Jacobs / Brundidge marriage and Brundidge twins mystery would be appreciated!
