Clara (Shields) Houstman is indeed buried in Minnesota. Her gravestone is not large and it is set near the monument honoring those who died in the big Sandstone fire. John Merritt Houstman was her husband and he is indeed buried in the Turtle Lake cemetery which is located just on the s/w side of the small town of Turtle Lake, ND. Pauline (Alexander) Houstman is buried next to John Merritt Houstman. John Merritt always went by the name "Merritt". Pauline Houstman was married to Dareld Houstman. Dareld is a son of John Mathis Houstman and grandson of John Merritt Houstman. Dareld's father John Mathis Houstman was cremated and his funeral was handled by the Ivy Lawn cemetery in Ventura CA. As I write this reply, Dareld is still living in a care center near Washington DC. Dareld was born in 1909. Hope this helps.
