An elderly Iowa City man was found dead Tuesday in the hog lot on a farm he owned, 5 miles south of Springdale on the Muscatine-Cedar county line.

The body of Charles Orr, 76, was found by Mrs. James Hollenbeck, wife of the farm's tenant at about noon. Sheriff Richard Barden was called at about 12:27 p.m. The sheriff reported that the hogs had eaten half his face, some fingers and had bitten his scalp and throat.

An autopsy was performed at University Hospitals, Iowa City, but the report was not available at press time. The victim had suffered 2 previous heart attacks.
