Funeral services for Charles W. Orr, 76, Iowa City, were held April 14 with burial in Oakland cemetery, Iowa City. Mr. Orr died at his farm near Springdale April 11.

Mr. Orr was born Nov. 19, 1890, in Johnson county, the son of Cyrus and Margaret Ann Applegate Orr. He married Alice Ohl March 8, 1927, at Des Moines. He had farmed most of his life near Springdale and moved to Iowa City in 1957. He was a member of the Odd Fellow Lodge there.

Surviving are his widow; a son, Lester of Iowa City; 2 daughters, Mrs. James (Marjorie) King of Canoga Park, Calif., and Mrs. Gene (Mary Margaret) Post of Fresno, Calif.; 3 brothers, Vance, Edwin and Harrison, all of Iowa City; 2 sisters, Ethel Orr of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Ida Murphy of Iowa City; and 5 grandchildren.

A brother preceded him in death.
