Annie Tomlin

Mrs. Annie A. Tomlin, 99, of 817 East Bloomington Street died Sunday evening at a local nursing home after a long illness.
Requiem mass will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Wenceslaus Church, with burial in Oakland Cemetery. The rosary will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Donohue Mortuary. Members of the Alter and Rosary Society will recite the rosary at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Mrs. Tomlin was born at Richmond, Iowa, Nov. 12, 1868, the daughter of Michael and Josephine Nosek. She was married to William Tomlin in Iowa City.
She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Church, its altar and Rosary Society, the Royal Neighbors, ZCBJ Lodge, Women of the Moose (a charter member). Eagles Auxiliary, and the World War I Dad's Auxiliary.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Josephine Rees of Iowa City; five grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; tow sons, Robert and William; a brother and three sisters.
