Clifford William Gullett, the son of Charles and Austa Raben Gullett was born on September 1, 1909 at Farson, Iowa in Wapello, County. He is a graduate of Montezuma High School and a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church.
On March 17, 1938 in Garner, Iowa Clifford united in marriage to Bernice Maloney. Clifford spent his life working the soil. He started farming in Jasper County after his marriage. During the 1950's, he farmed for six years in Marshal County. He then returned to Jasper County where he retired from farming in 1974.
On Saturday morning, June 6, 1987, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Clifford went to be with his Lord. He had reached the age of 77 years 9 months 5 days.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice of Newton; two sons, Dennis Gullett of Billings, Montana, Chuck Gullett of Newton, Iowa; one daughter, Janice Jones of Sully, Iowa; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Willard Gullett of Kellogg, Iowa, Don Gullett of Guadalajara, Mexico; and two sisters, Wreatha Banks of Chapala, Mexico, Dorothy Soseman of Santa Clara, Calif. Clifford is preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
