Mrs. Alice Halferty, 60, of Newton, died Monday night at Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton. She was born July 14, 1906 to Mr. and Mrs. Asbury Bond, north of Richland. She married Roy Halferty in 1925.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, Bob of Newton and Joe and Rex, both of Kansas City; three daughters, Mrs. Joan Lanthier of Washington State, Mrs. Maxine Harrison of Wisconsin and Kathleen of Newton; 16 grandchildren; one brother Gus Bond of Glendale, Arizona, and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Hartzell of Ollie, Mrs. Fay Crawford of Washington, Iowa, and Mrs. Helen Allen and Mrs. Joanna Ward, both of Richland.
The service will be in Newton, Thursday at 1 p.m., at the Poland Funeral Home. Burial will be in Newton.
