Frances M. Ver Steeg, 82, of 3003 E Seventh St., died of a heart ailment at home Saturday. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Merle Hay Funeral Chapel, with burial in Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Ver Steeg was born in Dallas County and lived in Imperial, California, before moving to Des Moines in 1966. She was a member of St. Mels---- Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband John; a daughter, Betty Ryerson of Indio, California, three sisters, Cecilia Prall of Des Moines, Katherine Van Roekel and Mary Stewart, both of Bettendorf; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the Merle Hay Funeral Chapel. Friends may call at the Merle Hay Funeral Home.
