Attend Rites For Mrs. C. L. Romick
Prairie City (Special to The Daily News) – Rev. Albert van der Ploeg accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Edwards Jr., to the funeral of Mrs. Edwards’ mother, Mrs. C. L. Romick who passed away Dec. 30, 1939 at her home near Knoxville.
Funeral services were held in the Pleasant Hill Methodist church south of Prairie City, of which she was a member.
At the time of her death, Mrs. Romick was 56 years, six months and 7 days of age.
She is survived by her husband, her mother, nine children, 7 grandchildren, 5 sisters and one brother.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Laird and Rev. Albert van der Ploeg. The body was laid to rest in a cemetery not far distant from the church.
