Services Held For Burl Norris, Colfax War Vet
Colfax (Special to The Daily News) – Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon for Burl Norris, 47, of Colfax, a veteran of the first world war, who died Friday, July 3, following a prolonged illness.
Mr. Norris had been ill for several years, suffering with blindness for the last few years.
Services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church in Colfax, with burial at the Union Chapel cemetery north of Colfax.
He was survived by his wife and three children, Max of Ocean Park, Calif., Marjorie of Ottumwa and Erma Lee at home, by his mother of Indianola and by four brothers.
