Died Suddenly
Abner Campbell died suddenly Saturday night at about eleven o’clock from cerebral hemorrhage at his home two miles northwest of Ira. He lived in the community all of his life and was highly respected by all who knew him.
He leaves a wife who has the sympathy of many friends and neighbors. Mr. Campbell was at death age 63 years, 7 months and 15 days.
Funeral services were held at Union Chapel Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock. A complete obituary will be published next week.

Funeral Service
Union Chapel Crowded to Overflow by Many Relatives and Close Friends
Funeral services for Abner Beacher Campbell were held Tuesday, Feb. 14, at 2 o’clock at the Union Chapel. Rev. W. L. Reily of Des Moines conducted the services.
Music was furnished by a quartet consisting of Guy Hardenburg, Herald Hardenburg, Mrs. F. C. Mason, and Mrs. Schroyer and were accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Fred Esch.
Pallbearers were cousins of Mr. Campbell and were F. W. Tramel, Charles Tramel, Charles Weston, S. W. Weston, W. I. Price and George Whitehead.
Abner Beacher Campbell was born June 27, 1864 and died Feb. 11, 1928, at the age of 63 years, seven months and 15 days. He was the youngest son of Allen and Nancy Campbell, who were pioneer settlers of this community. He was born on the old homestead and has always lived there.
On Oct. 22, 1906, Mr. Campbell was united in marriage to Miss Anna Henning and in the same year joined the Church of Christ at Ira, Iowa. Mr. Campbell was a straight-forward and honorable man and a true Christian, a kind and loving husband, a good neighbor and loved by all including children of whom he was very fond.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Abner B. Campbell, and a brother, J. A. Campbell of Manning, Ia., and a host of friends. He is also survived by a large number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends from a distance attending the services were J. A. Campbell and son Floyd of Manning, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Roy Crawford of Lake City, Ia, J. F. Henning and Mrs. Phillip Zimmerman of Cedar Falls; Frank Mussig, Chris Mussig, all of Gladbrook; F. B. Matthews and family, E. V. Matthews and wife and Eugene Matthews, R. G. Priebe and wife, Flora Tanner, Mrs. Fred Welch, Miss Cora Rumbaugh and Mrs. Howard Lorimer all of Des Moines.
