Death Comes To Solon Campbell
Solon D. Campbell, 82, 1023 West Second street, died at 6:00 a.m. this morning at his home. Death was attributed to heart failure.
Campbell was preceded in death by his wife, Flora Conn, 20 years ago.
Campbell was born in Rush county, Indiana, April 8, 1866. A retired steel worker, he came to Ames in August, 1947.
Campbell is survived by a daughter, Dorothy McLein, Des Moines; three brothers, Sam, Colfax, Ia., L. J., Independence, Ia., and William, Nevada, Ia., and two sisters, Mrs. Esther Smith, Ames and Mrs. Emma Eckles, Ames.
Funeral arrangements are not yet completed.
