Linda Beth, little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Young was born at the Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton, October 30th. She later was removed to her home in Monroe, while always under a physician’s care, serious complications developed and she was then taken to the Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, where everything that anxious hearts and modern medical science could do was administered. For almost two days there seemed to be some improvement, but an abrupt unfavorable change took place and the little sufferer was called away at the age of twenty-one days, leaving the grief crushed parents, a sad lonely little brother, a gloom filled home, three grandparents, Mrs. Bert Young of Prairie City and Mr. and Mrs. Arie Kool of Monroe, numerous relatives and friends. Monroe, IA. – Linda Beth Young, three weeks old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Young of Monroe, died Monday afternoon at the Lutheran hospital in Des Moines. The infant had been suffering with a cold and when complications developed, she was entered at the hospital Saturday morning.
She was born Oct. 30 at the Skiff Memorial hospital in Newton.
Besides her parents, she is survived by a brother, Dwight, age 5.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 o’clock at the Crumpacker Funeral home by Rev. J. M. Carlson of the Baptist church. Interment will be in the Monroe cemetery.
