Rites Held Feb. 5 For Lillie E. Kintz

Lillie E. Garrett Kintz, 77, of Colfax, a resident of Colfax since 1965, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, at the Des Moines General Hospital.

Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 5 at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.

The Rev. John McKinstry, pastor of the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax, conducted the services.

Burial was in the Colfax Cemetery.

Organist was Eleanor Howell and soloist was Deb Woods.

Casket Bearers were: Ryan Ingraham, Jeff Verwers, Brian Berkey, David Crady, Scott Underwood, Bill Good Jr., Mike Morris and Tom Wearmouth.

Survivors are three daughters and sons-in-law, Almeta and Bill Hill, Billie and Dean Riggan and Pam and Jerry Ingraham, all of Colfax; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Earl W., two sons, James and Robert, two brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Kintz was a member of the Colfax Senior Citizens.

She was employed at the Colfax Interfaith Center, the Kolfax Kountry Kitchen and the Des Moines Super Value Store.

The daughter of George and Iva Merryfield Garrett, She was born Jan. 29, 1916 in Greencastle, Mo.

She was married to Earl W. Kintz Oct. 13, 1934 at Colfax.
