William Kintz Died At Newton

William Lawrence Kintz, 82, a lifelong resident of Jasper County, died Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 26th at the Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Commodore Kintz, he was born April 4, 1884 in Colfax and spent all of his lifetime in the Colfax and Newton communities. He had reside at the Jasper County Home for the past five years.

He was married to Louise Maliand July 4, 1910 at Newton.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Loren (Helen) Broughton of Marshalltown and Mrs. Paul (Virginia) Hill of Colfax; two sons, Lawrence Kintz of Colfax and Glen Putnam of Myrtle Point, Ore.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Walters Funeral Home in Colfax. The Rev. Laurence Garrett, minister of the Colfax Methodist Church conducted the services.

Burial was in the McKeever Cemetery. ~ Probably the Jasper County Tribune, Thursday, November 3, 1966.
