Roscoe L. Maggard

Colfax - Roscoe L. Maggard, 85, of Colfax died of respiratory ailment Monday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center [Des Moines]. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Colfax, with burial in McKeever Cemetery.

Mr. Maggard was a farmer and a lifelong resident of Colfax.

He is survived by his wife, Neva; a son, Max of Colfax; a sister, Virginia Day of Lander, Wyo; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Colfax Fire Department, Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax is handling arrangements. ~ Probably Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa, Oct 20, 1997.
