Lucille Dick Services May 13

Lucille Surber Dick, 73, a resident of Colfax for more than 50 years and a native of the Lynnville area, died Monday, May 10, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 13 (today) at 10 a.m. at the Colfax Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Father Edward Susic, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Colfax Cemetery.

A rosary was recited on Wednesday, May 12 at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.

Memorial to the church will be accepted.

Survivors are her husband, Carl; two sons, Carl James Jr. of Portage, Ind., and John Henry of Colfax; four grandchildren; and a brother, Henry Surber, of Kent, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Elmer Surber, and a sister, Velma Rawlins.

Mrs. Dick was a member of the Colfax Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Colfax Senior Citizens.

She retired after being employed at the Maytag Co. in Newton for 30 years.

The daughter of Henry and Anna Stainbrook Surber, she was born Oct. 24, 1919 near Lynnville.

She was married to Carl Dick Oct. 24, 1937 at Newton. ~ The Jasper County Tribune, Colfax, Iowa, May 13, 1993.
