Rose Mary Briggs
Rose Mary Briggs, 72, of the 5100 block of Cottage Drive, Pleasant Hill, died of a heart attack Wednesday at home. Cremation followed visitation. Burial of the cremains was at Colfax Cemetery in Colfax.
Mrs. Briggs was born in Colfax. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Carroll who owned Star Theatre. She lived in Pleasant Hill most of her life, was a homemaker and had been a pianist and vocalist at Veterans medical Center and local nursing homes. She had been on WHO radio with Ronald Reagan.
She is survived by a daughter, Marla Baumgardner of Des Moines; three sons, Raymond of Clive, Adrune "Andy" of Urbandale and Edward of Newton; a brother, Richard Carroll of Marion; a sister Patricia Caroll (typed as written) of San Diego; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard.
