Goldie Mae Fox, 85, of Baxter died of a heart ailment Friday February, 16, 2001 at Baxter Health Care Center there. Services were held Tuesday, February 20, 2001 at Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. Burial was held at Jerome Cemetery in Jerome.

Mrs. Fox was born in Corydon and had lived in Centerville before moving to Baxter nine years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Centerville. She enjoyed flowers.

She is survived by a son, James of Newton; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James.
