William Earl Dolinsek

William Earl Dolinsek, son of Thomas and Ursela Sensia Dolinsek was born in the Seevers community near Colfax on June 24, 1914. He passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at Luther Park in Des Moines at the age of 86 years. Masonic Memorial Services were held on Friday, February 2 at 7:00 p.m. at Walters-Coburn Funeral Homes. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Presbyterian Church in Colfax, with Rev. Patricia Summers, Rev. Marvin Potter and Rev. Clayton Sugg officiating. Burial was at Colfax Cemetery.

A 1931 graduate of Colfax High School, he was united in marriage to Lois Vivian Clark at Colfax in 1936. William was a farmer, and a member of the Colfax Presbyterian Church. He was a member and past master of the Masonic Lodge of Colfax. He also was a member and past Worthy Patron of Easter (typed as written) Star and also a member of York Rite.

Surviving is his wife, Lois Vivian; a daughter and son-in-law, Marlene and William Hutt of Colfax; a granddaughter, Jan and husband Mike Finlayson of Iowa City; as well as several nieces and nephews.

William was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters.

A memorial for the Colfax Presbyterian Church or Luther Care Services has been designated by the family. ~ the Jasper County Tribune, February 8, 2001
