Iva Green

Iva Green, 100, of Colfax died of a heart ailment Sunday at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. The body was cremated, and graveside services were held Friday at Rising Sun Cemetery.

Mrs. Green was born in Ira and had lived in Des Moines most of her life before moving to Colfax seven years ago. She was a retired cook with several area nursing homes and a member of seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed gardening and the outdoors.

She is survived by two sons, Bud and Frank, both of Des Moines; two daughters, Ruth Sullivan of Denver, Colorado, and Velma Millage of Colfax; 26 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex.
