Charles Carlton Nikolish

Charles (Charlie) Nikolish, age 83, passed away at his home in Urbandale, on Saturday night, September 29, 2001. He was born in Bush, Illinois on June 18, 1918.

The son of Mike and Anna (Stefanic) Nikolish. He attended school in Williamson, Iowa. On June 28, 1945 he was united in marriage to Norma Teater in Rock Island, Illinois.

He is survived by his wife, Norma; a daughter, Carol and son -in-law, Dr. Tim Cochran of Mitchellville; a son, Wayne and daughter-in-law, Judi of Pleasant Hill; two sisters, Nicky Castings and Rose Clark, both of Colfax; a brother, Nick and sister-in-law, Jackie of Brooklyn; four grandchildren; a great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death was his parents and a brother Rudy. Mr. Nikolish has owned and operated The Rocklyn Mobile Park for 36 years.

Memorial contributions are being accepted to Mercy Hospice or Windsor United Methodist Church in Des Moines. ~ The Jasper County Tribune, October 4, 2001
