Last rites were held for Phyllis Goerke at 11 a.m. Monday, February 1, 1993 at Buchloz Mortuary in St. Louis, Missouri.
She succumbed to cancer January 29 at St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis. She was 63.
She is survived by her husband, Dan; two sons, Curtis Hibbs of Vallejo, California, and Robert J. Cunningham, at home; two daughters, Carol Hibbs Allers and Connie Hibbs Ezell, both of St. Louis; and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Goerke was the foster daughter of Alerta and John D. Holmes of Prairie City. She was a 1947 graduate of Prairie City High School, and graduated from Broadlawns School of Nursing in Des Moines in 1951.
