Robert E. IntVeldt, 73, of Marshalltown, a former Prairie City resident, died of cancer Thursday, November 19, 1992 at his home.
Services were held Monday, November 23 at the Marshalltown First United Methodist Church. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown. Pursel-Davis Funeral Home in Marshalltown handled arrangements. Masonic services were held at the funeral home following family visitation.
Memorials to Iowa River Hospice are being accepted.
Survivors include his wife, Julia; two sons, James of Griffith, Indiana, and Robert of Atlanta; four daughters: Veronica Dutton of Marshalltown, Laura Lea Kurtz of Webster City, Janis Peoples of McKinley, Texas, and Patricia Fuchs of Rockford, Illinois; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. IntVeldt was the retired owner of IntVeldt Insurance and Real Estate. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, the Masonic Lodge, the American Legion, the Marshall County Board of Realtors, and the First United Methodist Church in Marshalltown.
He was born in Prairie City, and had lived in Marshalltown for several years.
