Harlan McCoy, 80, of Clearview Manor in Prairie City, died Friday, June 12, 1992 at the facility.
Graveside services were held Monday, June 15 at Silent City Cemetery in Monroe. The Rev. Al Kinrade, pastor of the Prairie City and Pleasant Hill United Methodist Churches, conducted the services. Walters-Coburn Funeral Home of Prairie City handled arrangements.
Survivors are a sister, Thelma Ingle of Des Moines; and a number of nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ruth, in 1989, and a brother, Bennett.
Mr. McCoy was a farmer in the Runnells area for many years. He was a member of the Morgan Valley Christian Church, and was a charter member of the Runnells Lions Club.
The son of Carl and Sadie West McCoy, he was born November 25, 1911 in jasper County and was graduated from Runnells High School.
He was married to Ruth Deitrick December 7, 1935.
