Charles Skinner, 68, of Mitchellville, a former Prairie City area resident, died of leukemia Sunday, June 21, 1992 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 24 at Mitchellville Christian Church. Burial was in Ashton Cemetery at Mingo. Mitchellville Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Memorials to Mitchellville Christian Church are being accepted.
Survivors include his wife, Norma; and one brother, Lyle S. Skinner of Marshalltown.
Mr. Skinner was born in Collins and lived in the Mingo and Mitchellville area most of his life. He was a 1941 graduate of Prairie City High School. A veteran of World War II, he retired from farming in 1989. He was a member of the Mitchellville Christian Church.
