Cornie Terpstra, 77, a lifelong resident of the Sully area, died Thursday, January 7, 1993 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 11 at the Sully First Reformed church. The Rev. Ralph Menning conducted the services. Burial was in Sully Cemetery. Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Pella handled arrangements.
Memorials to the Harris Lee Terpstra Scholarship Fund are being accepted.
Survivors include his wife, Corrie; his mother, Jennie, of Grinnell; two sons, Loren and Logan, both of Sully; a brother, Nelson, of Sully; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry; two sons, Harris Lee in 1987 and Stephen, who died in infancy; and a brother, Harrison.
Mr. Terpstra had been a farmer. He was a member of the First Reformed Church in Sully and the Farm Bureau.
The son of Harry and Jennie Huyser Terpstra, he was born September 12, 1915 in Sully. He grew up and attended school in Sully.
He was married to Corrie Vonk in Sully December 3, 1935.
