Karen Lindly Throckmorton, 50, of Monroe died Sunday, May 3, 1992 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 7 at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe, the Rev. Jerry McGee, pastor of Monroe United Methodist Church, will conduct the services. Mrs. Throckmorton’s body was donated to the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines.
Memorials to the Jasper County Cancer Society or the Monroe Emergency Fund are being accepted.
Survivors are her husband, John; a son, Kevin of Norfolk, Virginia; a daughter, Lesa Huck of St. Louis, Missouri; and three grandchildren.
Also surviving are her mother, Greta Lindly of Knoxville, a brother, Don Lindly of Monroe, and two sisters, Bonnetta Constant of Newton and Doris Crook of Knoxville.
She was preceded in death by her father and a brother in infancy.
Mrs. Throckmorton was a machine operator at Pella Manufacturing Co. for the past 23 years.
The daughter of Charles and Greta Dixon Lindly, she was born December 7, 1941 in Knoxville.
She was married to John J. Throckmorton January 27, 1968 in Knoxville.
