Bert Van Zante, 81, of Greeley, Colorado died Monday, February 10, 1992 at Bonell Good Samaritan Center there.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 13 at Macy Chapel in Greeley. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Contributions to the Bert Van Zante Memorial Fund are being accepted.
Survivors are a son, Douglas of Los Angeles, California; two sisters, Marie Jabaai of Pella, and Corinnne Wood of Evans, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife in 1965.
Mr. Van Zante had lived in Greeley since 1936. He operated Western Wholesale Produce for a number of years, and had been employed for the Colorado State Driver’s License Bureau for 10 years. He was also employed as a realtor by the Gilbaugh Agency, and part time at Lucerne Inc.
He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Greeley, the Greeley Moose Lodge No. 909, and the National Association of Realtors. He was a life member of Greeley Elks No. 809.
The son of G. T. and Jennie Crum Van Zante, he was born in Prairie City November 18, 1916.
He was married to Lola Huckabay in Prairie City in 1933.
