Cory D. Whittlesey, 11-month-old son of David f. and Kathy Van Essen Whittlesey of Newton, died Friday, April 24, 1992 at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 27 at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton. The Rev. Douglas Reynolds, pastor of the Wittemberg United Church of Christ north of Newton, conducted services. Burial was in Babyland in Newton Union Cemetery.
Also surviving are his maternal grandparents, Doyle and Beverly Van Essen of Prairie City, his paternal grandparents, Rolland and Fern H. Whittlesey of Newton; his great-grandfather, Bud Thomas of Scranton; two brothers, Tony Bishop of Prairie City and Eddie Whittlesey of Newton and two sisters, Holly Whittlesey and Heather Whittlesey, both of Newton.
He was born May 13, 1991 in Knoxville.
