Kenneth Dale Clark, 67, of Prairie City died Saturday, August 8, 1992 at his home.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 12 at the Prairie City Christian Church. The Rev. John McKinstry, pastor of the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax, conducted the services. Burial was in Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City. Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City handled arrangements.
Memorials to the church of Central Iowa Hospice are being accepted.
Survivors are his wife, Virginia; a son, Denneth Douglas of Cedar Falls, a daughter, Debra (Mrs. Jeff) Jones of Prairie City; three grandchildren; a brother Duane of Prairie City; and a sister, La Vonne (Mrs. Marvin) Pendroy of Monroe.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, a brother, Lowell, a sister, Lois Guthrie, and an infant sister, Evelyn.
Mr. Clark had been a service and repair department employee at the Maytag Co. in Newton for 36 years, until his retirement in 1982.
He had been an army Air Corps aircraft gunner during World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of the Prairie City Christian Church, Independent Order of Odd Fellows and United Auto Workers, Local 997.
The son of Kenneth and Anna Blanche Peery Clark, he was born January 26, 1925.
