Chandler, Iloe Ruby – 1894-1992

Iloe Ruby Nicoson Chandler, 98, a Prairie City resident since 1936, died Tuesday, December 29, 1992 at Clearview Manor in Prairie City.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 31 at the Prairie City United Methodist Church. The Rev. Michael Orthel, pastor of the Colfax United Methodist Church, conducted the services. Burial was in Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City. Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City handled arrangements.
Memorials to the Prairie City United Methodist Church are being accepted.
Survivors are two sons, Dean of Bettendorf and James of Palm Harbor, Florida; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold, three brothers and a sister in infancy.
Mrs. Chandler was a member of the Prairie City United Methodist Church and was a charter and 50-year member of Chapter AJ, T.TT. in Prairie City.
She taught in New Virginia and Truro schools.
The daughter of Ruben and Margaret Allen Nicoson, she was born June 15, 1894 at St. Charles.
She was married to Harold Chandler August 25, 1914 at New Virginia.
