A Sad Affair – On last Saturday Mrs. J. G. Morrison, of Mariposa township, poured hot water in her churn for the purpose of cleaning it. The stopper, from an unknown cause, came out and the hot water poured upon her little boy, aged about 1 year, who was near the churn. His head and neck were very severely scalded. Howard Jacobs started to Kellogg immediately for Dr. Adair. The neighbors called in the evening and everything the Dr. and they could do, was done but to no avail, for he died Sunday at 1 o’clock. The remains were interred in the Kellogg cemetery, Tuesday. The sympathy of all is extended to the bereaved parents in this, their sad loss. We are indebted to Mr. T. H. Jacobs for the principal features of the above and affair. - Kellogg Enterprise.
