REASONER – Died at her home, in Reasnor, Iowa, Miss Carrie R., daughter of Samuel and M. J. Reasoner, departed this life Jan. 6th, 1883, aged 21 years, 2 months and 8 days.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. I. O. Kimble, at the Union Church; the remains were interred at the Palo Alto Cemetery; she has been the object of special care and attention for some time past, not only of the family but of their kind neighbors.
Her vacancy in the happy home circle has inflicted a wound that time cannot efface. We can only offer our sincere and heart-felt sympathies to the greatly bereaved ones, suffering from the work of the severe finger of death, so irrespective of its choice of flowers, has plucked a promising rose-bud from their family tree, leaving them to mourn the vacancy but happy to be assured that Carrie’s tumultuous billows covered with the spray of disease have sunk into oblivion.
We hope our kindness will serve as a fetter to bind the broken hearts of the affectionate parents and kind brothers and sisters.
