Former Area Residents Die

Weiger Peter Overdyk, 86, of Runnells died Wednesday, April 26, at Clear View Manor in Prairie City.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.

The Rev. Harold Cashatte of Des Moines conducted services. Burial was in the Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.

Survivors are his wife, Nellie, and several nieces and nephews.

The son of Peter and Petji Overdyk, he was born July 7, 1891, in The Netherlands.

He was married to Nellie Colyn March 6, 1937, at Prairie City.

Mr. Overdyk was a former Colfax and Ira area resident.

Bearers: Wayne Miller, Wayne Boatwright, Darwin Boatwright, Ray Ryerskerk, Gene Neven, Ralph Danks.
