John Blaser was reported seriously wounded on August 6th in France, and from that time no further word was had regarding him until last week when through the Red Cross it was learned that he died from his wounds on September 10th in a hospital in France. His wounds were caused by a piece of shrapnel while in the front line trenches.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows a John Blaser who died July 31, 1918 in France but this does not agree with the above date. He was born May 5, 1893 and is buried in New Oregon Cemetery.
