IOWA FALLS-Victor Mott, 83, of Iowa Falls died Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at the Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls. Services were held Friday, June 14 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Alden with burial in the Alden Cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Krueger officiated. Military rites were provided by Hyman-Peavey American Legion Post No. 188 of Iowa Falls.Victor was born Nov. 27, 1918, in Alden to George and Alta Mae Baker Mott. He graduated from Alden High School in 1936 and served in the United States Army from 1941-45, serving in the European theater after 1943. On July 21, 1948, he married Evelyn Mott at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Alden. They farmed northwest of Iowa Falls. Victor was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where he had served on the building committee and other committees over the years. He was a member of the Hyman-Peavey American Legion Post of Iowa Falls.
He is survived by three sons, Craig and wife Pam of Iowa Falls, Tim and wife Verg of Iowa Falls and Ted of Alden; two granddaughters, Mandy Mott and Telyn Mott, both of Iowa Falls; a grandson, Nathaniel Mott of Manchester; a great-grandson, Tristan Brannick of Iowa Falls; and two sisters-in-law, Amber Mott of Plymouth, Ind., and Lois Mott of Strawberry Point. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Evelyn; a daughter, Kristie; a sister, Edith Mott; and three brothers, Walter, Dale and Harold.
Surls Funeral Home of Iowa Falls was in charge of arrangements.
