HUBBARD-Francis Minnie Winter, 93, of Hubbard, died Saturday, May 4, 2002, at the Hubbard Care Center. Services will be held Wednesday, May 8 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hubbard, with burial in the Hubbard Cemetery. Rev. Matthew Rueger will officiate.

Frances was born Nov. 27, 1908, in Tipton Township to Herman and Minnie Maronn Zoske. She attended Hubbard Community School. On March 27, 1935, she married Henry Winter at St. John's Lutheran Church. They farmed four miles southeast of Hubbard until moving into Hubbard in 1966. They were married 55 years when Henry died in 1990. Frances was an avid cook and gardener.

She is survived by a son, James and his wife, Barbara, of Hubbard; two daughters, Nancy Fisk of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and Mary Suhr and her husband, Duane, of Ankeny; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Minnie Timm of Cincinnati, Ohio, Erna Heinzeroth of Iowa Falls, and Martha Wolf of Hampton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Carl, William and Fred Zoske; three sisters, Elfreida Reinert, Margaret Winter and Elsbeth Lettow; and a great-grandson, Trenton Winter.

Boeke Funeral Home of Hubbard, is in charge of arrangements.
