ALLISON-Ida Emma Buddenhagen, 95, of Allison, died Saturday, April 27, 2002, at Waverly Municipal Hospital, Waverly. Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 1 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. James Lutheran Church in Allison. Burial will be at the Allison Cemetery.

Ida was born Sept. 10, 1906, Springtownship in Cherokee County, to William and Caroline Miller Golnitz. She received her education in country schools in Springtownship in Cherokee County. On Oct. 19, 1929, Ida married Leonard "Bud" Buddenhagen in Iowa City. They owned the Allison Drugstore, 1950-1975. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, the Women's Club of Allison and her church circle. She enjoyed golfing in Greene.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharon and her husband, Don Niehaus, of Allison; a son Jerold, Waukegan, Ill.; a brother Herbert Golnitz, Hawick, Minn.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister.
