RADCLIFFE-Gladys M.Clark, 89, of Radcliffe, died Saturday, April 20, 2002, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Services were held Tuesday, April 23, at the Faith Evangelical Church in Radcliffe with burial in the Radcliffe Cemetery. Rev. Robert Bussert officiated.
Gladys was born Jan. 11, 1913, to Charles and Dala Klemme Risse northwest of Hubbard. She attended Hubbard High School and on Jan. 30, 1935, she married Robert Clark. They farmed between Hubbard and Radcliffe before buying a farm at Garden City in 1939. They retired in 1975 and moved to Radcliffe. She was a faithful church member and served as a Sunday school teacher, president of the Women's Fellowship, and hosted many missionaries in her home. Gladys enjoyed cooking.
She is survived by a son, Alvin Clark and wife, Colleen, of Garden City; three daughters, Joyce Mossman and husband, Russell, of Eldora, Judy Clark of Hampton Care Center, and Eileen Friest of Sioux Falls, S.D.; five grandsons; three granddaughters; 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dayles Risse of Hubbard. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Harold Risse; and one sister, Elaine Risse.
Boeke Funeral Home of Radcliffe,was in charge of arrangements.
