HAMPTON-Albert Edward Behn, 89, of Hampton, died Sunday, April 21, 2002, at his home. Services will be held Thursday, April 25 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hampton, with burial in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hampton. Rev. Kenneth Krueger will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 4-8 p.m. at Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton.

Albert was born May 3, 1912, at Hampton, to William and Alvina Meyer Behn. He was educated in the Lutheran Church School at Hampton. He married Elverta Schorling in 1939 at Sheffield. After her death in 1979 he married Betty Miller Seeger on Sept. 10, 1982, at Nashua. He was a farmer and owned Behn Furniture Store in Latimer. After retirement Albert repaired vacuum sweepers. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, the church choir and the Mason City Barbershop Chorus.

He is survived by his wife, Betty, of Hampton; a son, Gary and wife, Linda, of Erie, Pa.; a daughter, Karen Ann Leonard and husband, Jerry, of Garland,Texas; a stepdaughter, Sandie Seeger of Lincoln, Neb.; a stepson, Scott Seeger and wife, Linda, of Milford; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife; and two brothers, Fred and Ervin.
