MRS. HANS CLAUSEN DIED FRIDAY

Mrs. Hans Clausen, 57, who lived five miles south of Blairsburg, died Friday evening at 6 o'clock at the hospital in Webster City. She was brot there ten days ago, but had been ill for some time. Death was caused by kidney trouble and complications.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the McCauley-Chapman funeral home in Webster City, with Rev. R. Hobson of Blairsburg officiating.

Jennie Agnes Shillinglaw was born April 19, 1876, at Schenectady county, New York. She came to Ellsworth in 1893 and she was with her uncle, Andrew Shillinglaw for a number of years.

Feb. 7, 1900 she was married to Hans P. Clausen of Story City, and the couple moved to a farm south of Blairsburg, where they had since lived. She was a member of the Congregational church of Blairsburg.

She is survived by her husband, H. P. Clausen; a sister, Mrs. W. S. (Mary) Ritchie, of Osakis, Minn., and a brother, A. G. Shillinglaw of Williams; besides other relatives.
